loading .syx files???

hi, everybody, this question seems kind of old school but i'm hoping some cats might have some knowledge on the subject.

I just got given a whole bunch of sounds for my Novation Bassstation in the form of .syx files. If my computer had a midi out, i would be able to load these directly from my computer to my Synth. But

My computer doesn't have midi out.

So i thought i might be able to save these files to my MPC and then send them that way. But my MPC doesn't really cooperate with that idea. What i really need to be able to do is get them onto sequences as "exclusive data" or something right?

Try renaming the files to .mid

From what I remember .syx files are really just standard midi files but with the different extension. It's been a while since I've had to use these though but give it a try and I think it should work.
