Can the 1000 use 2000xl sounds?

I had a 2000xl, I sold it (needed the money). I recently bought a 1000 and would like to use my previous sounds and sequences. I drop the sounds onto the card via usb but the sounds don't load. Any ideas? all help is appreciated, thank you.

get AWAVE STUDIOS its software convert basically any audio file to any audio file

for akai cds get CDXTRACT it breaks down the mpc cd into partitions like A B C D E F G H . ..... .....

u can chose what sounds u want and convert them down to .wav

The 1000 will read WAVs but not SNDs - so your old MPC2000XL stuff needs to be saved in WAV format. www.mpc3000xl.com has a snd-to-wav convertor

It will not however read all PGM parameters, only pad assignments.
