The biggest problem with fl is the god damn computer screen that dont allow you to just use your ears. The Mpc got a lil as$ screen which is good cause you aint workin primarily with ur eyes.

Thats really one of the reasons why I got an MPC. You should have to work more with your ears than you do with FL.
FL is cool, but step seq. has limitations, and as said before - Producers should use their ears only, with FL you can risk stop being creative i think.

I remember watching a live show with a guy using Fruity Loops back in '98. I haven't seen the new stuff, but it seemed real limiting back then. The performer loved it, but it kinda turned me off, seemed like 'cheating'.

There is something about the combo of the sequencer and the pads in the MPC series that is sorta unexplainable... I'm sure you could program a computer to emulate but just having that instant human contact with a machine can be magical.
