question about qlink and tune

I have a problem understanding the function of the qlink.
For example i have a sample chopped in eight part,and i want to change the tuning of each part to do something different,so I go to qlink and start to change the tune of each pad,than i go back to main page ,the pads are still in the change tune but as soon as i start record or put in play back everything is reset exept one pad.I would like to know if there is a way to do what i've just explaining in other words if the qlink can change the tuning of multiple pads.
I would like to know also what the after button does.

maybe try to mode + programm then change the tune(on the right side) of every pad by hand.

Yes,but is much more confortable doing with qlink.And than i don't understand why it let you change the tune of multiple pads in the qlink page but when you go back to main and record it it reset everything.
Any suggestion?

Is the 'after' button illuminated while you're playing back the sequence?

Check chapter 8 of the manual for all the details of the q-link sliders, and recording the note variation data.

also, you can record with the q-link window open.

If I record with the q link page open it does the same.
But is it normal what's hapening or is a faulty.I would like to know if the qlink change only the parameters of one pad or severals.

Did you check the manual yet? In Version 2.x of the OS, only one pad at a time can be controlled by the q-link.

i have JJ's operating system and if i have the q-link window open it previews each pad that i touch with whatever pitch it is set to.

sometimes i will have a whole program laid across the pads but i want to lower the pitch on all of them at once.

i just adjust the slider and leave the q-link page open and start recording. It changes the pitch of every pad that i hit during that time. once you close the window it only effects the pad that you left assigned.

Try this yo..... If you already have the sequence recorded ,this will be way easier--if so do this Mode+ SLIDER Q1 pick a pad,Q2,Pick a pad;then go back to main, adjust the sliders til you get the desired tune to your sample(S),make sure the sequence is set to the right tk and pgm, then hit each sliders AFTER button(light should stay on), then go OVERDUB+PlayStart, let it run thru the duration of the seq, then go MODE+ slider and pick the next two samples to tweak, REPEAT the previous instructions, until all the samples you wanted tweaked are all tweaked.. You can also do tuning in 16 levels and you can do it in step edit(EXAMPLE-if all your samples are going to be the exact same pitch/tune then do 1 sample(PAD) in q-LINK SLIDER or in 16 LEVELS, then go MODE + STEPEDIT(i think its pad14?) find the sample you tuned find its value and adjust every sample you want tuned's value to the value of the 1st sample.... I hope this info was helpful... you can also do what was also replied to this post and tweak them in PROGRAM MODE

Ok thanks for the tips.....but it seems crazy to me that when you are in the qlink you can change the tune of each pad and then you can't record it in the main page,is not logic.If the mpc can change the tune of each pad in the program page and let record in the main page why you can't do the same with qlink.Is not logical,don't you think??

its very logic, lemme break it down a lil better, when u have a selected pad set to the q-link, the q-link isnt adjusting the actuall pads parameters it changes it in step edit(when u record it, go look in step edit you'll see T(for tune,D-decay a-Attack,etc--theres a D-thats for duration that'll be set to every pad event, a V for velocity) anyway it's just changing the pad like that, it doesnt adjust the parameters in the program mode.....It's like this when u make a program and record a sequence, the MPC's sequencer isnt recording the actual sounds u have set to said pads, but rather it records the pad number and bank letter, the duration you held the pad, the velocity of the pad, and the time it was hit and the other parameters(4 when u do 16lvls or q-link param changes). The q-link has two different settings 1 is note on meaning you can set the qlink and play it and record it with the new parameters if you dont like the effect of the selected param u can change the qlink setting or turn it off and over dub the changes, by just pressing play+overdub and just let it play> with note on, you can change the parameters of pads that are already recorded in a sequence, pick the pad and param then press the after key for the selected qlink and press play+Overdub and just let it play, it'll change it self. the other setting is realtime which means you set the parameter for the pad and actually play the pad with the new param in REALTIME! after u record it and play it back if u dont like the changes select note on and use the after key and Overdub........................ I understand what u mean about how u can play teverypad whith the qlink window open and have it change everypad , but then you record and only one pads changed..... Read the section in the manual about the Q-link,function of pads and 16 levels...that plus this should help u ..............Good Luck......
