Getting my sequences onto my computer.

I dont need the regular answers like sync it with midi, or resample the main outs, cus as of right now i dont have a way to hook up my PC to my MPC with MIDI(but i need questions answered on that if anyone can help out my AIM is grafkid18) and i only have the stock ram so i dont have enough memory to resample(i think) but i DO have my stere outs plugged into my computers soundcard and i DO have adobe audition, so is there not a way to record what is being played through my computer speakers into audition.

i havent been able to figure it out yet, help is appreciated.

I think it's a matter of changing your windows mixer settings. See if it's set to the line-input rather than the mic input.

i seemed to have got SOMETHING working now, i go into audition hit record then hit play on my MPC and it does record the beat,b ut it reacords it EXTREMELY quiet, and it sounds like its only recording hi hats and snares, i cant hear lower more subtle sounds.

i went into the windows mixer and turned line in to max, and it still is super low when it records into audition

You dont want the windows mixer, you want your program software mixer in audition. I've never used audition... if it has no mixer window or option- get a new program cuz that sh1+ sux. yer question reminds me of a prob. I had back in the day trying to record to tape, it's an error in your recording levels. Source:[mpc out]= highest reasonable output/ reciever:(soundcard in)= start from zero then increase applied level until just beneath clipping zone. let sound "in" slowly. Also if yer getting pissed and want and easy fix with minimal quality... just add gain to the recording.

so ive gone into the mixer in audition and added gain, put the volume up to max, and it does get slightly louder but still very low. it also sounds very 1 dimensional if that makes any sense, the sound isnt full, and i still cant hear lower frequencies.

to the above poster, is there a program you can direct me to that you have a better understanding of, and you kno will work
