memory problem

everytime i take a 30 second sample and try to slice it into a certain amount of regions it sayd insufficiant memory. how do i change it to slice the sample?

man, your choppin 30 second samples? thats a little to big the machine to handle, try recordin the 30 second sample piece by piece and savin them as seperate samples, then truncating them piece by piece.

editing 30 sec samples is somethin for a computer to handle not the 1k

If you ugrade your RAM you will be able to chop a 6 minute sample if you want to. Not that anyone would want to, but it would work. You can get a RAM chip for $40...
