Connectivity (Yamaha P60)

I want to connect my Yamaha P60 into an MPC 1000. It has MIDI I/O, and 1/8 (Headphone) Outs. Will it sound alright like this? I want to be able to play melodies in the MPC and layer, and then play bass lines in. Thanks! Also, what cables would I need?

I dont know what that keyboard sounds like. But i use my mpc and keyboard together and it sounds fine to me.

Thanks Nicole, 1/8 outs (the headphone outs on the P60) into ? on the MPC 1000. Sorry, should've been more specific of a post.
