[b]If you want to move a particular event after recording just a tick/s earlier or later then try Step Edit (PAD 14). Copy the event (F3) (e.g. hat or snare by choosing the appropriate track (F2)) then go to the top & move to the position (by moving the last 2 digits after the decimal up or down) you desire then paste, then delete the one you copied from. Keep doing this process until you get the desired feel.

This sounds long, but it's fine once you've done it a few times.
There are a couple of ways I'm sure but I've got used to doing it this way as I think it's more pratical for individual events.
The lengths we have to go thru coz Akai left the manual quantise function out from the 1k! Disappointing.

is there a way to do this to all ur snares or hi hats at the same time rather than 1 at a time?

Manual quantize is available, you just apply timing correct after the track has been recorded. You can choose all pads to be corrected, or select just the ones that you want to correct.

To shift all of a certain pad by a certain number of ticks, use the shift timing function in seq edit mode (p.28 of the v2 manual).
