Pads

I've never had any serious problem with the pads on my unit either -- an early blue from one of the first production runs.

so strange. i'd like to see a lineup of all the different models and a sample pad from each.

if they were built at all like mine was, and used as extensively, then basically every mpc1000 should have busted pads at this point.

who the hell knows what akai was up to with these pads. what a pain in the ass.

i was messin with the blue one and the NEW black one they just got in at gc side by side and i used to have a 2000 and i remember the pads and (im pretty sure) the black one had the "classic" type pads. they stood out taller then the blue one and had a little play between the rubber and the senser underneath like the 2k/2500 etc....and unlike the stiffer pads of the blue 1000. but hey i could be wrong.
though i dont undersatnd why that would be so shockin for everybody on here if they changed the pads
