Ok I recently installed the akai HDM10 along with a Hitachi 80 GB hard drive which was recommended from Akai's website. Im not sure if this is causeing the problem, but I will randomly get a very loud hissing sound from nowhere. It's the same type of sound when you are recording a sample and your record volume is too high. However my record volume is completely off and I am still recieving this sound. Any suggestions?

Ok well I brought my 1000 to my partners studio and the sound happen once. I seems to be happening during loading a sample from the hard drive. So I know it must be my MPC and not anything else in my studio or wires. Maybe I need my MPC repaired??? It has had very light use on it. And for the most part has not been moved around much since I bought it about 1 1/2 year ago. I am having a session tomorrow, and I will try and get move information, still unclear about what is causing this.

it may be an interference with the hd, try to remove the hdm10 and
when the hiss isn t there anymore, try another hd.
