mpc 1k and microkorg

so i have them hooked up :

micro out -> mpc in, mpc out A -> micro in

i got the track function to midi, program off and midi is selected to track 1A. anyway i got the synth sounds to be played on the mpcs pads, but my drum samples seem to only be played on the microkorg keys. and when i disconnected to midi cables and switched the track function to drum my mpc wouldnt play any of my drum samples. i would like to be able to sample my microkorg sounds into my mpc and still play my drums off the mpc pads can someone pls help me with the proper connections for what im looking for. thanks in advance

now everytime i load up my programs and sequences its just dead air somebody pls help me out

it sounds like something is wrong with your memory card.... try turning the MPC off and on again.... also try looking at the card on your pc to make sure it still contains the samples if resetting the MPC doesn't work....

i found that turning off the mpc and turning it on while holding erase until the main window resets the machine to its basic settings and that worked out.

Are U playing the 1k drums on a different track? Set up the micro to play each midi channel on a separate 1k channel and the 1k drums on their own channel. Keep in mind that the channels have to be the same on each seq.
