effects saving

Guys can you help me out i'm a beginner with the mpc1000 never had hardware before
question is every time i save something end reopen it it doesn't have the effects i've aplied in the mixer section the last time. So how can i save mixers settings????

what are you saveing? PGM? SEQ? all SEQ? all SEQ and Songs? give more details about how you save. Otherewise, it's impossible to know what are you doing wrong.

wel thing is as you know im just starting out so my way of working is just make a couple of tracks on sequence 10 (wich is free) lets say i have 6 tracks. Then i save it in a map as "save all progs & samples" + "save a sequence" in a specified folder. And then once reopened the effect flicks back at chorus whilst i saved it with flanger.

If you don't use the demo songs, programs and samples, just delete them and don't load them. That way you will have more space for your stuff, and you won't unnecessarly save what you don't need. Also, when you save, make sure that you have selected to "replace existing files". This is kinda like overwriting.

The effects settings (diffrent effects sets, named in the effects window, first page) should save with your .all (all seq and songs) files. Mixer settings are saved in individual programs. I've just checked my own 1000 to confirm this.

To save different effect sets for individual sequences, insert an effect change at the beginning of the sequence in step mode. This will change the effects settings on the fly.

The folks at Akai probably could've chosen better methods for storing the effects and routing info, but this is what we're left to deal with.
