Naming your MPC1000

A while back I read on the lovely MPC forums that you could program a name for you MPC1000 that it would display when loading up, which I did and for many months my 1k on loading would display my name, but recently I notice that it no longer did this.

I just searched many times for any post that gave info on naming your 1k, but to no avail.

Is it because I am searching badly, or the search engine on the forum isn't so great, or that you can't name you 1k running OS 2.1?
Please could someone let me know.

I'm really sorry if this bugs some of the expert users, but I have tried to find the info and I have had no luck.

i think mode/pad 14/F6, but that's pong on the new os so i'm not quite sure

maybe I'm missing something

the jj os has a splash screen instead of a name function so you can create your own/download another "name" thing and load it...here are some dope ones...

You'll need at least JJ OS 4.27 I believe, or was it 4.26? Either way, get the latest JJ OS.
