reason redrum & mpc1000?

I hooked up my novation sl37 keyboard to my mpc an then to my computer to use reason as a sound module, well funny thing is that I can play all the sounds from reason into my mpc1000 but the redrum? is that normal? I know its stupid because I can make my drum beats on the mpc, but just found this odd that I could not use redrum when midi'd up with mpc an keyboard.

you can use redrum just need to put that on a new midi channel and have sounds loaded into the redrum program..
