Troubleshootin' Poly/ Mono

I have a sample on track1 in which I am running it POLY. On track2 I am running the same exact sample in which I want it to be MONO. Well it doesnt seem to work this way, obviously when its changed on track2, it will reflect upon track1. Is there a way to assign Poly/Mono to a track instead of sample/program?

you're thinking of a track as if it were a pgm.

when you change it to be poly or mono in either track 1 or 2, you're changing the same pgm. you're just changing it back and forth and back and forth.

what you need to do is put the same sample on 2 different pads, one poly and one mono. on track one use the poly one, on track 2 use the mono one.

Yeah I think my terminology was off... I've tried it the way you said before but I think I did it wrong... I'll give it another go. It makes sense...

Heres a simpler solution....Copy the program...and the copied pgm, u can set the opposite as the original... Or u could resample the sample give it a new name and then set that one to poly--that is IF that program is POLY.If its a MONO pgm, it dont matter what the pads voice setting . Not to be a D@#k, but that Manual, will come in handy.At night b4 u go to Bed read a chapter, or read the chapter that deals with whatevers got u stuck.

Oh nah it's cool. Ive read mostly the entire manual... it will take a few more times for things to stick! I tried loading the same sample on a different pad. Yeah before I was trying to make a new sample, and putting it in random programs... got all mixed up. I just copied the program and set one to Mono and one to Poly... why do I always do SH*T the hard way
