midi out from keyboard to midi in mpc

i wanna trigger the notes on my keyboard and play the .wav samples from the compact flash memory card in the mpc. how can i do that? i connected the midi out from keyboard to midi in mpc1000 but i can only play sounds that are assigned to the pads. if C is pad A1, C# will be A2, D will be A3. wat i actually wanna do is take like a guitar chop from a music piece and play chords of that sample through my keyboard. how can i do that. thanks

well you must think about this first

1. trying to play chords with a sample with diffacult because of the time scretching.

2. if you would need use the 16 levals fucntion and choose tune. that will allow your keyboard to play that one sample in several diffrent keys.

3. it is up to you how to decide how well those samples translate if you want to use them that way!!!!
