when i downloaded a drum kit it had program files with it, i also have a mpc 2000 kits with program files in with the samples, do i drag those in my mpc with the sounds or, dont i have to

If you have an pgm file u gotta have the sounds that go with that pgm in order for it to load up that pgm. It will load but no sounds will be on the pad. So an simple answer would be yes u need the sounds included with the pgm.
