song to sequence to record issue

can't seem to get the beat to play the way it plays in song mode... i have five or six sequences that play fine when i have them all lined up the way i want them... everything changes when i convert the song into a sequence... with everything referenced to the 1st sequence (no muted tracks)...
the first sequence is one track, an isolated sample... it turns into a big mess when the other sequences come in, from different programs, and instead of my drums coming in, that sample from sequence 1 is played the way my drums are played from a different sequence/program. just looking for a way to fix this. hope the question makes sense.

not using the jj os.

every seq has to have the same pgm line up. for example. in seq 1, track 1 has pgm "kicks", seq 2 track 1 has to have the same pgm "kicks" now also on seq 2 track 2 is pgm "snare" seq 3 track 2 has to have the same pgm.

that way when you convert, all pgms are lined up with each other.

if this is not clear, holla back and i will try to explain further.

thanks for getting back at me... guess that means i should be creating my sounds all within one sequence to avoid this... and if i do use other sequences, stick to what you laid out... seems kind of lame that you can't do what i want to do... but then again, i've only had the thing a week and a half and i'm sure there's a better way to do what i want.

here's a good way of doing things. get your main seq going nice the way you want it, then copy that seq to a new sequence then add/take out what you want. that way everything is laid out the way it should be when you put it to song mode then convert. it's alot easier that way.
