Hey yall! Wondering if someone can help me out. I ordered Some Kingston RAM and I put it in my MP and this weird screen came up. It started checking my RAM and said it detected an error. The company accidently sent me 2 RAM sticks (and didnt charge me twice, nice) and i loaded the other RAM stick in and got the same result. My aunt sent me 3 RAM stick from some random company and 2 outta the 3 worked just fine? I wa wondering if anyone else had this problem. I checked the specs on the RAM and they match up just fine.

Would appreciate any info.

Thanx yall, youve already been a help to me

Make sure the CL is correct on all of them.

if the specs are correct, is it possible that you installed it incorrectly? Did it click into place all the way?

Did you try a factory reset? Power on while holding the ERASE key I believe... although I'm not sure that will help, but it's worth a shot I guess.

I applied it like it showed me to in the video on youtube. It clicked into place and everything. I had a stick of 128 b4 and I put that in and it worked fine (I got 64 mb cause it only reads 1 side). I didnt do the factory reset, if we can confirm the correct way to do it, ill be sure to make that my next step. I tried the Kingston and it didnt work, than i put the 128 back in and it worked just fine again, than I put the random 256 RAM in and it worked judt fine too. I tried the Kingston again and it freaked out on me again, then I put the 256 of the random RAM back in and it booted right up and worked fine again. Ive tried the Kingston RAM like 4 times and have tried the random RAM even more times and the random RAM always works, but when I put the Kingston in the weird screen always comes up and tells me that I have an error with my Kingston RAM. Its soooo weird!

Please confirm the method for the factory reset.

Thank everyone for replying.

I'm pretty sure it's power on while holding erase... it's not going to hurt anything if that's not it... if you want to confirm it go ahead, but I don't feel like looking it up since I'm pretty sure already, and it's not really my problem... heh. I didn't mean that in an a$$hole type of way, I'm just being real witcha. Let us know if it worked.
