Has anybody in here ever tried using their MPC as MIDI controller? I am interested in trying this. Can somone please give me some assistance with this.

yeah i mean...controlling a midi module? explain yourself...it's totally possible and powerful.

ive used it as a midi controller as well. with software and hardware.

ive used it on hardware synths and i didnt like it one bit. but at the time it was the onlything i could use to get sound out of my synth, before i bought a keyboard controller (other than the audition button) it was much better than that. its really easy tho, i didnt know how to use half the mpc features when i tried it. just plug it up and see if you like it.

I want to use it to control a software synthesizer. In this case, Lounge Lizard.

Would I connect this to my PC the same way I would connect a normal MIDI controller to my PC?

yes.
midi out on mpc to midi in on pc/interface.

and you might have to: [mode] (midi/sync) & turn "pad to internal sound" off. i honestly cant remember.
