keeping samples on tempo

Whats up peps, I was wondering is there any way(internaly only) to keep a long sample on beat with the metrnone click. im always off beat. Ibet I have to use a keyboard with midi right.

you just got to line it up properly! listen, listen, listen!!!! make a decision, do you have to speed up the beat, slow it down? change the pitch of the record? theres a thread about this i think in production techniques, peep it out, and welcome to the board

choppin is part of the trim mode section. its a good feature to master.

as far as your loopin, maybe that particular sample isnt on beat! alot of samples i try to take dont really have a tempo. thats where the creativity comes in. you gotta get used to trim mode. look at that soundwave. make copies of the sample and chop em up! (im not really explaining it good at all) listen to the sample and determine what part of it you want to isolate. now find the start point of what you want. set that. find the ending point and set that. now when you play the sample, does it sound like you wanted?? does it start too late? if so make it start earlier. does it end where you want it to? if not, adjust the ending point.
