Metronome through mixer, default mixer setup

Is there a way to configure the metronome click to leave on any of the mixer out channels? It's kind of annoying running double cables to the headphone jack and 1-4 out.

Also,
when i load any new sample it's defaulted to headphone out. Is there a faster way to make any loaded program/sample go to channel 1? I find myself hitting every pad and scrolling it up to 1.

there's gotta be a better way!

the headphone out is merely a duplicate of the main outs. i think you need to start with the main outs instead of 1, 2, 3 or 4.
