Where is the Slice feature?

Whenever I sample something and try to chop it up, there is no Slice feature (F5). See I go to Record and record the sample. Then I go to Trim, but there is no Slice feature for me to select. I see it on tutorials but for some reason I dont see it.

do you have OS 1.07? if so upgrade.

Where do I get the upgrade from? How much is it usually?
