I sampled a Piano sound into my MPC and programmed it onto the pad. If I want different notes do I have to "tune" and program all the notes I per pad or is there a quicker way around this? I hate to sound lazy but I wake up in wee hours of the night with a beat in my head but I lose the vibe because I have to mess with the notes etc. If not then I just have to suck it up because this machine is hot!!! I love it...I use it for my Gospel Rappers...Jesus is the truth, knowhatmsayin'?

16 LEVELS function should be your best friend in this situation. Press the 16levels button above the wheel, then for the type, select 'tune'.

I use a MIDI keyboard sometimes, and I've written a few programs for that too. I didn't have to sort the pads into order to play the keyboard, but I did that too, so I can play them from the pads too.

I've put up some PGMs that are set up like this, they use samples from Hollow Sun. Try the Yamaha CP70 piano program to see what I mean.

The next step I'm thinking of is to change the mapping so that the notes are the same on every page, e.g. make Pad A01 = C1, B01 = C2, C01 = C3, D01 = C4, and so on.
