MPC Multisample Multi Track trigger?

Ok, I have a bass multisample pgm on Track 1 assigned to midi channel 1, a rhodes multisample pgm on Track 2 assigned to midi channel 2 and various other samples on Track 3.

I want to make my midi keyboard trigger the keys track, my mpd pad trigger the bass track and still be able to trigger the samples on Track 3 from the MPC. I have assigned my midi keyboard and mpd accordingly but they only trigger the samples on the track that the mpc is at any given time set to.

Any ideas

Won't work. It's the wrong type of sampler for the job.

If you want multi channel midi input, you need either a computer w/midi or a stand-alone midi rack-type sampler. Or possibly an MPC 4000.
