Problem Saving

Each time I attempt to save my work (samples, programs, sequences), I have some sort of problem...Either:

1) DIRECTORY ERROR appears so I can't save the file
2) the program saves but only SOME samples are included in the saved program (meaning I get a lot of SAMPLE01?)

Please help. Where am I going wrong, what can I do to fix these problems. Thanks.
