Can you connect a hardrive to an MPC 1000

I know this is a proper newbie question, but can someone please, please let me know if you can definitely connect a hard drive to an MPC1000 and if yes does it have to be an external or internal hard drive.

I want to be able to save all my samples and sessions on either a hard drive (either internal or external) so that I have everything I need with me when I travel with the MPC.
