What plug do I need to record out of my Macbook into my MP1K?

I'm not familiar with Macs but recording sound is pretty simple. Locate the Audio output on your macbook and lookup the connection (probably 1/8" stereo plug) then buy the corresponding cable. I recommend buying a mixer. Setup would look like this:
1. Audio Out from Macbook to Audio Input Channel on Mixer.
2. Audio Out from Mixer to Record In on MPC.

this dude is right, i dont have a midi interface so right now i got it jerry rigged through my mixer, and im recording live sounds from Reason 3.0 into the MPC, its not as dope as recording using the sequencer, but it works as well as U make it. Peace

wouln't it be easier to just drag and drop a wav file to the CF card in the 1K using USB?

can u drag files from reason 3.0 via usb everytime i try nothing happens.

Record the sound in Reason's sequencer, then export as an audio loop.
