Pro Tools Sync issues

hey guys-
having trouble getting my 1000 to sync with pro tools. I have it receiving MIDI beat clock from PT, and i believe i have the ports properly set in the MPC....when i start the sequence on PT the signal is being sent out but the MPC is not responding properly...sometimes it will start running the sequence at a random time, sometimes it will start and stop abruptly...what am i missing here??

all my sync problems ceased when i bought the JJ OS...

I'm not having midi sync problems and I never have and I have both the 1000 and the 2500 and don't even use the jj OS and I track a lot into protools.

It might help if you let protools slave the mpc and not the other way around.

I do have it slaved to protools....PT is sending out the beat clock so when i start the sequence in PT it should start the MPC, right? that ain't happening!!

do u have everything set correctly within the mpc ie sync

i think so....what would i be missing it seems pretty straightforward?
