midi prgm. channel - MPC as slave

Hey,

I'm using my MPC1000 with a roland TMC6 midi to trigger convertor.
I've tried everything, so please help me. (also did the things from the manual)

An example:
I set my TMC 6 progrm channel on '8'
How can I make a setting on the MPC that my 'Jungle-example-2kit'program correnspond with that '8' signal.

The note numbers aren't a problem, they are really easy to set on the mpc but how can i give a certain program a midi PROGRAM channel number ? (not talking about the midi channel, set both to 10)

It's hard for me to explain but I hope i made myself clear...

I think it should work: I'm not sure exactly what's wrong, but I hope the following helps:
- the MPC1000 normally receives ALL MIDI channels, you can change this in MIDI mode. If you've changed it, go back to ALL while testing.
- You can't set a MIDI channel for a Program directly: the MPC1000 is not multi-timbral over MIDI, but only when using its internal sequencer.
- the Program that you play on Pads & MIDI is the one you select on the Main screen, as long as the MPC1000 is receiving on that channel (or set to ALL).

Have you tried recording the MIDI to a track? That way you can verify the MIDI that is received, that will make it easier to diagnose.

What he said ^^. Just be sure to load the program into a sequence. Then assign a midi channel (probably 10 or 9 for the drums). Then check the midi input/filter mode. Last, check you got TCM MIDI out -> MPC midi in. I know, but still check
