I have been reading up on t he JJ OS operating system and I am wondering if it worth it...

Download it and see for yourself. There's a free version (3.07) or the paid version (4.77 is the ;atest). The paid version works without the licence but just won't allow you to save. This gets turned on once you key in the licence code.

If you don't like it, you can easily regrade to the official Akai OS or the free JJ OS.

You can also use the search function in this forum to gather a lot of user experience and information to help you through. There is also a comprehensive manual i nthe JJ Specific board.

Let me put it this way: MPC 1000 WITHOUT JJ-OS is worthless!

I thought the 1000 without the JJ OS was still better (feature wise, and more) than the XL though?
