Getting MPC sounds onto PC

Hi,
Just got into my new mpc 1000, really new to music and the whole business. Please can any one help me and say what the simplest way to get my beats onto Pc in wav format.

you could either record them using the record-menu with main out selected (that creates a wav-file to memorycard/harddrive and then transfer it via USB) or just plug the stereo outs from the mpc to mixer/pc/daw and play your beats to them.

Just tried the first option, works great a little around the hosues to get it onto my Pc but it works. Looking at getting a mixer soon hope this will help my cause.
