i was saving a project last night and got a directory error or something like that. i got it 2 or 3 times in a row. i think we've all been there a few times right?

so i tried this and it worked. i ejected the CF card and put it back in. POOF! the save was good.

i dont know why i never tried that before but it worked. maybe the CF cards lose their connection physically to the mpc if you leave them in there for a while? cuz there's not really much holding the actual card into the slot ya know?

anyway, it worked for me. next time you're having a problem it might be useful to someone.

I tried the CF thing the other night and it didn't work for me. I don't know if this is in another post but what causes that message? I noticed this happens with some of the hollow sun kits. At first I thought it would go away if I renamed the sample but it didn't ( in case there were 2 samples with the same name)
Anyway I saved it in internal memory then reboot and reinsert CF and the sample saved to CF WTF?

Yeah, really, WTF? I have the same problem and its frustrating, but taking the card out does work most of the time. Still, WTF? That shouldn't be happening.

so does anybody have any insight to why that ish happens? What causes the "directory error" message?
