my mpc is trippin

my mpc makes a loud static, and when i play with the wires the static goes away, but the volume is cut is more than half and muffled. from this point i try to listen thru the headphone input and it sounds the same, unless i play with the jack (like put it almost all the way in). this is wak and i need some feed back, it only happens every so often at random times

i have some cables and adapters that you have to jiggle too.

i try not to use them unless i absolutely have to

All it is is just a loose connection. It could be your wires, or perhaps the connection from the jack, to the the rest of the unit is breaking. Find a buddy with a soldering gun (SP?) and take a look at it.
