Well, Ive never been a huge fan of navigating through the MPC's OS (JJ OS is better but still) Just as far as loading, saving, the navigation isnt too bad. Anyways Ive accidentally deleted files over time and had mysterious things happen with files and projects. Im a little hesitant to install a hard drive still, having my entire library on the MPC sort of freaks me out. Just recently I thought since I have most of my files on my Mac already, I could just use multiple Compact Flash cards and load specific projects and JUST the samples and kits I want onto each. Easier to sift through the files and samples that way too... I did this by accident because I ran out of room on my 512 card and popped in an old 32mb card for a little sample song I had... and I was like.. Hmmm... I REALLY like doing it this way... Do you think its efficient? Anyone do it this way? Is anyone dissatisfied with their hard drive? I guess if one were to travel or play live this may not be as easy to do.. I dont know...
