never had any problems with the 1k saving sequences, programs, samples, anything til this week. at this moment im trying to save a 4min mono recording. 22.7mb, there is adequate room on my cf card. but when i go to save, it just freezes on the saving screen! only way to stop it is to eject the card and get the "file write error". so trying to find a fix or work around and get this saved ive done the following:
1st retry the same thing expecting diff results (this has worked twice before, but not this time)
2nd tried another cf card using same process
3rd formatted first card and tried it again
4th formatted second card and tried it again
at this time i noticed that my cf cards have "used space" of the exact size of the file im trying to save, yet it still isnt on the card in any usable format, just lost space.
5th i decided maybe my file name is too long or complex, it was only 12 letters with no spaces or underscores or symbols to beginwith. anyway i resample my main outs and rename it "GH2". its a little bigger file 23.1mb cause of some silence at the end. different tho, new sample, goodluck... but still wont save to either card!
6th and final step i tried to save entire memory to freshly re-reformated card#1 and once again im frozen on the first sample it tried to save, been staring at it about 30 min now. just ejected it and loaded it on the pc, seems to have saved a pgm file with the single sample and an empty mute fine 11kb, also saved all seq n songs fine 40kb, and a prj file 1kb. so why not the wavs?
help thoughts ideas very much appreciated. ima stare at it a couple more hours before giving up and turning it off
