Why Does This Keep Happening??...

I just bought a drum kit and downloaded it onto my computer. But when I try to import the files (wav.) onto my mpc, the same thing keeps happening. If I import a certain section, such as the kick or snare section, the same sound shows up for that entire section. However if I play that sound in itunes or something, it shows up as the sound it should be, so I know their all not the same sound. I've re-downloaded the kit numerous times and have tried re-importing the files into my mpc many times and the same thing keeps happening.
The second drum kit I downloaded is normal but much quieter than it should be.
This has never happened to me before so I have no idea what the problem is.
If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate the help.

Hey man, I've had the same problem. I'm a complete noob so if anyone knows otherwise please feel free to shoot me down :roll:

but, if I have a folder with many samples in it all of the same name but with a number on the end and the overall filename exceeds 16 characters, it always plays the same sound no matter which sample I choose to preview. F**k, I didn't explain that too well.

e.g if I have 4 samples in a folder and the sample names are formatted like this:

grooveKrakklers_01
grooveKrakklers_02
grooveKrakklers_03
grooveKrakklers_04
etc,

When I look at the folder contents via the MPC I only see 4 samples with names that looks like this:

grooveKrakklers_
grooveKrakklers_
grooveKrakklers_
grooveKrakklers_

I managed to get around this by renaming my samples grvkrak_01, grvkrak_02 and so on. I downloaded a freeware file renamer that can rename multiple files in one go rather than manually renaming them all in Windows, I can't remember the name of the program but theres heaps of them out there! This fixed the problem for me, although I'm using the Akai OS 2.11 this may not be the case for JJ. Not too sure. If thats not what the problem is, stuffed if I know :-)
