Double triggering pads

Is this a common thing?
Pads double triggering samples.
Only seems to be happening on pad 2 of my machine.
It's only a week old.
Is it a fault or is it something you just have to live with on the MPC-1000?

Return it, simple as that.If i were you i would wait no more than 30 days to take it back if your waiting to get one with new pads.Where did you buy it from?

there is ur problem right there it was prob drop 8 times in the store room

dv247 is shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always had ok service with DV247 Birmingham branch.
They replaced my faulty Midiman 8x8 with no fuss.
I have bought over £6000 worth of gear from them in the last 5 years and the Midiman has been the only problem until now.
I phoned today and they offered a refund, exchange or will give me credit towards another item.
I was considering updating to the MPC-2500 which seems to have better pads.
Not sure if I want to outlay a further £400 for that option.
I might just dump Akai as I have had nothing but bother with them since owning an S700 sampler from 1990.
Such a pity as the MPC-1000 looks like a great machine apart from the dodgy **** pads.
The also have little or no customer service!
