TR:01 wont load

i just bought a 1000 to replace my 2000 classic. so i moved all of my files (program files, snds sequences ETC) from the zip disk to a folder on a new memory card. so i put the mem card in to load some of my old programs and my sequence loads, all the sounds load but when i look at my tracks. it says Tr:01-TRACK-02 (instead of TRACK-01 as it should) Tr:02-TRACK-03 and so on. anyone know why its bumping my first track off?

well i noticed that when you save a sequence on the 2000 the sequence is saved as a .midi and when you save a sequence on the 1000 it saves it as a .SEQ so im assuming thats my problem right there. so is it safe to say my old programs WILL NOT load correctly on the 1000?

The Bad Thing About The Mpc1000 Is You Cant Load The 2000xl files but i could be wrong but i'm 99% sure u cant load them on the mpc1000 but maybe i could be wrong

ah that sucks. everything loads except for the 1st track. which is always my kick drum. so i can just load my program and then redo my kick. thats if i REALLY need to access the beat.

is the correct program selected for the track?

i dont have the xl. i have the classic. i did keep it but my scsi zip drive broke and those things are a pain in the ass. so i transfered all my programs to my CF card.

in response to the post right above. yup im sure im loading the correct programs.

if you copy track 1 to track 40 or whatever is free then it reads it fine. A little time consuming but at least you know you've preserved your kick track.
