headphones one sided

hey i just got the mpc 1000 black and i pluged in my phones. and it only comes out of the left side. i tried looking manual and online forums everything. im 99% sure it snot the panning. if u guys can help me out thatll be great.

do you have them plugged in to the 'phones out or to the main L out? is your 1/4" to 1/8" adapter stereo or mono (does it have one ring or two)?

are you sampling stereo samples but only with the L input?

these could all be causes.

its plugged in the front of in the phones jack. and its a 1/8 going to 1/4 convertor mono.

well that's your problem right there

get a stereo 1/4"

90% of the time 1/8th in jacks are stereo/balanced (tip, ring, sleeve), so by getting a 1/4th mono you are actually not getting the full connection from the 1/8th, alas that is why it's only coming out one side in your headphones.
