whats up yall. i was wondering if there is a specific daw that can open a mpc 'project' file. its a tedious process takin a song from the mpc to my daw (ableton live) to further edit and process. i was hoping there was a specific daw or a 3rd party utility that can take a mpc song with all its samples, midi and sequence data and lay it out 'track for frack' into daw's sequencer so i don't have to do it manually. I know how to do this manually (routing mpc's outputs to inputs of daw or using mute to record each mpc individually) but this process kinda sucks. I was wondering if anyone read the letter in the Dec 2007 isuue of "Remix" magazine (Class is in Session) Dude talks about opening mpc midi sequences in pro tools
and recording each audio track individually from mpc to daw. So now your song is in daw with same groove it had in mpc. this method seems to be the easiest method ive heard about. but its still kinda slow. whats everyone else doin?
