just be careful, as i've heard that the little white clips that hold the ram chip in place on the mpc500 break off very easily when inserting the ram chip... i don't know if this was AKAI's way of trying to get people to not use 3rd party ram chips instead of their own... but just a heads up.

a very common mistake many people make when putting the ram in,
is that they try and pull the white clips up before inserting the ram.
don't do this!
the clips could break and u might have to end up wedging the ram in...
i seen some assh*ole on youtube totally fuk up his mpc by doing this so be warned.
