1k and cubase le

I have an yamaha MW10 usb mixer that comes with cubase le. I have an mpc 1000 that im trying to sync with cubase le for tracking. So i have a MIDI usb cable from my mpc to my computer and my audio cables from my mpc to the mixer. I can't get the setting right to sync my mpc for tracking multiple tracks at a time on cubase le. Please help.

From what I can understand, you want to sync your mpc (as slave) to cubase (as master) and put audio cables from mpc to the the yamaha mixer for tweaking and eq-ing sounds.

Connect the mixer to your pc with usb cable and a midi-usb cable from mpc to your pc.
Choose the correct usb port in cubase (since there are 2 - first usb for yamaha mixer and second usb for midi-usb sync cable) for sending midi sync data to your mpc.
Set mpc to receive MIDI TIME CODE 30 fps (non-drop) and of course set cubase to set this kind of sync data, as it is the best in my opinion for syncing audio.
It should do the job.
Remember to allow 3 or 4 empty bars to pass in cubase for perfect sync before you start recording your tracks from mpc.

I've tried to sync my 1k to my computer running both Ableton Live and Sonar 7 Producer, as master *and* slave and none of it worked at all. I'm using regular Midi cables; no USB anything. As slave, the 1k was triggering the same sample at the start of every measure; as master, the computer simply didn't respond at all. No idea how to rectify this. Has anyone gotten midi sync to work with the 1k?

I use it all the time, with JJ OS and MTC, sometimes master, sometimes slave.

No problems at all.
Please post your settings in cubase and the MPC and the OS you are using (MPC)

Ok its working but how do i track out multiple tracks while staying in sync with each other

I'm using OS 2.11. I think I've found out what the problem is. My midi interface is the MOTU Midi Express XT, which has SMPTE/MTC support; It requires I use a specific sync port in its driver to allow passing of MTC. I still haven't gotten it to work properly, but at least now I have an idea why. I can't just tell the DAW to look at the port the MPC is on for MTC information.

MPC 1000 has 4 outputs, so you can record 4 tracks separately at one pass. When you send midi time code from the master (Cubase) in each pass during recording, the mpc will follow the code every time and every track (the ones recorded already and the ones you are recording) should stay in sync.

No MTC with the Akai OS, get the JJ.

Of course it does. Midi Time Code syncs right away as well, but it needs 3 or 4 bars to be in a perfect sync. It is more accurate then Midi Clock and more precise when you want to keep your beat as it was in the mpc when tracking to DAW.
Try recording 15 or 20 tracks using just Midi Clock synchronization and you will know what I mean. Perhaps it won't make a big difference, but in some cases hihats or snares for example will be a little of beat from time to time. This will change the whole structure and in effect...make some people really mad : )

I have tried everything you've said and still haven't gotten anywhere. I can't trak but one track at a time because two tracks can be recorded on the same input. All this stuff is just confusing. I also can't get the mpc to trigger with cubase. I still don't know what im doing wrong.

Here's my Cubase setup. The most important is the first picture. Some of the features are useless I know. I just leave them since it works flawlessly for me.
