Rear Dimensions - MPC1000

I'm planning on buying one but I need to know the exact dimensions of the rear of the unit (especially the height). I've noticed by looking at some pictures that the MPC has a downward slope from the rear to the front. The height dimension posted on Akai's website does not state wether that's the measurement of the front or back. I wanna make sure this is going to fit in my "under desk keyboard tray". Any help would be much appreciated.

At its highest point its 3 1/16". Thats from the bottom of the rear pad to the top of the volume knob.
