monophonic, my drums get cut off.

ok i was wondering, wen i put my mpc to monophonic ( bcuz thats how i want to play my samples) how can i get it to where my drums dont get cut out wen im tryin to record them??? can i jus do this on my 1000 or do i need to be recording into somthing else, im currently saving my money to get the rest of my stuff i need.

Seriously, this question gets asked each and every day, though it shows the asker has no understanding of the basic principles of their machine.
