Track Muting problems

I just loaded a sequence i was working on last night adn now for some reason when i mess with the track mute screen some tracks automatically unmute themselves. When in step edit i can see where thats sequenced so i delete them but they keep coming back. whats going on. its pretty annoying.
im on a 1k with os1

In the top right of the Track Mute screen, you'll see Use events:ON
switch it to OFF.
