JJ OS / AKAI

I have just started to get the hang of the AKAI OS and now have seen and heard about this JJ OS. My question is will I have a hard time dealing with and learning the JJ OS system after just getting a hand of the base OS?

One other question, is it easy to change back if I do not like it?

answer is yes

just go with the JJ os and dont worry about switching back, you wont need to

yeah, but how do you switch back to the Akai OS?

Switching back is even easier than loading the JJ os from the akai os

How you do it? Either load the bin from the load menu or the old way, which i dont remember

Yes. One thing you will have to learn after you load up the JJOS and reformat all your drives with it is that you will no longer have to feel so disappointed when the the Akai OS corrupts your hard saved files and makes them useless, which it most likely will if you keep using it.

But when I cope that.. is there going to be any other known issuses from your perspectives? Ive tried digging up stuff on the bugs section of the forum but that shit looks scary...

My JJ OS1 4.99 hasn't f*cked up on me yet and for the most part it's a lot similar to the AKAI OS with ill new features. Like [MODE] + Pad 15 allows you to edit tracks, sorta looks like fruity loops! Plus the [MODE] + Pad 6 (Trim) is more precise!

It's really really worth them $30 beans, Hell I'd pay 60 for it! Can't wait for March release!!!

Just check the archives. The worst of it starts right after the intro of Akai V2 and we keep getting the same complaints to this day. I personally didn't experience it, but then again I never formatted with Akai V2 so it makes sense. The only way to fix it is to reformat with JJ 3.06 or above.

If you actually read all the bug posts, you'll realize that most of the bugs have either been fixed or weren't even bugs to begin with. Certainly nothing as crippling as the Akai software.

i lost one of my beats once back in the akai os days, actually many,
ill save it, and then BLAMMMMMM it would freeze on me.
and besdies, you guys should be backing up your stuff anyways
