CD Turntable Technics SLDZ 1200

This is my first post.

I need some advice before buying a CD turnable.
I have a question about pre-amps.

I have a MPC1000 and a pair of headphones.
I want to buy a CD turntable, the Technics SLDZ 1200, to use for samples.

Do I need a pre-amp to connect and properly sample sounds from the CD turntable Technics SLDZ 1200 to the MPC1000?

Or is that only for vinyl turntables?

not be an arsehole or nothing, but if your gunna sample off a CD whey dont u do it on ya comp and use the usb?

sorry im not sure about your question altho im fairly sure u will still need a mixer

You should just be able to connect the line outs to the MPC. I have no idea why a CD turntable would use Phono voltage.


Thats the way my HDX works anyways.

1. no amp needed for cd turntable.

2. don't buy a technics cd turntable, they are fukin shyt.

3. buy a pioneer cdj800 or cdj1000, thats what i use, much more features and better build quality. shure techincs make excellent turntables, but their make of a cd deck is atrocious and it flopped horribly. any reliable dj retailer would tell you that also, another option is a stanton cd deck, i used to have a pair and they wer awsome.
