low volume only left monitor works?

Quick run down.

PC stereo out put into MPC 1/4" inputs

1/4 leads out of MPC to monitors. (was sampling off the PC)

i noticed when i had something playing and record at a hot level with both channels but no clip , that if i reduced the MPC Main volume everything panned left toward the very low volume.

this happen for everyone? to do with the way the MPC1000 is built?

Are you dealing with a stero sample that has a higher volume on the left side to begin with?

Try switching your monitors, so what is now the left one becomes the right one, and vice versa. That way you can at least rule out your monitors.
