Well I just got my mpc 1000 in the mail tuesday and I made a short 16 bar beat but I wana c how it sounds on my computer and send it out

So Im wondering is there anyway I can save it on my flash card and open it up in my computer (I have a flash card writer/reader) in something like soundforge or cool edit.
Or do I have to put the outs of the mpc and record it into my computer?
I also have a midi/usb interface but nothing is midi on my mpc

Basically im trying to get the beat from my mpc 1k to my computer.
any help?
Im reading up on the manual I just got the mpc yesterday and I learn better from hands on.

You might be able to record your 16 bar loop in RECORD mode with the default 16 megs of RAM (I'll assume you don't have the upgrade).

Go into RECORD mode and switch it so that you are recording Main out. You can read up on this in more detail in your manual.

Once you have finished your recording you can keep the recording or try again. Keep the recording if you are satisfied and then goto SAVE and choose "save a sample" You might have to scroll through the list, on my MPC anything I record is called "sample01, sample02 etc. etc." Save it to your memory card. Once its on your memory card you can access it as a wave file from your computer. Use the MPC in USB mode or use a memory card reader.
